WINDOWS in Whitchurch came to life with artistic displays when residents took part in a competition run by a town art group.
Families around the town showed their creative side by decorating the windows of their homes.
Judges from Whitchurch Arts visited all the entrants’ houses to choose the winner. There was also a special online poll for everyone to vote for their favourite.
Evingar Road resident Steve Miller, who was helped by his 11-year-old daughter Claire to paint a window with cartoon characters and Father Christmas, was picked as the judges’ winner.
George Lloyd, five, and his brother Henry, two, of Dances Lane, won the online poll with 50 per cent of the votes.
Whitchurch Arts chairman Andrew Reeves-Hall said: “It’s great to see so many families being creative together, and sharing that with the rest of Whitchurch.
“Local businesses have, even in these hard economic times, rewarded local residents with a wonderful collection of prizes. It truly was a community wide event.”
