A ROAD rage investigation has begun after a bus driver and a Porsche driver clashed over the right of way in a Whitchurch street.
Between 5.35pm and 5.45pm on Thursday, October 22, a bus was travelling down Newbury Road, which was lined with parked cars, as others motorists were trying to drive up the hill.
When traffic came to a standstill, the female driver of the Porsche got out of her car and spoke to the bus driver. A verbal argument then took place.
PC Paula Deery, from the Whitchurch Safer Neighbourhoods Team, said: “We are investigating this incident and would like to speak to anyone who was driving along Newbury Road when the incident happened.
“The bus was travelling from Andover to Basingstoke and stopped in Bell Street and Berehill to collect passengers and we would like to speak to anyone who was on the bus and heard or saw the argument.”
Anyone with information can contact PC Deery, at Whitchurch police station, on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
A 33-year-old man, from Ludgershall near Andover, has been arrested and bailed in connection with this incident.
