A CHARITY has extended its service to offer company for older people during tea-time.
Volunteers from Age Concern Hampshire will run a free Food and Friendship service addition to its Meals on Wheels customers, being available for at least half-an-hour between 11.30am and 4pm.
Paul Simmonds, Food and Friendship co-ordinator, said: “Good food and company is something that we all enjoy. It is a testament to the dedication of our volunteers that we are now able to extend our services in Basingstoke to include home visits over afternoon tea.”
For more information about the service, run in partnership with Hampshire County Council, contact Mr Simmonds on 01962 892455.
