Whitchurch man Keith Wright in court over indecent assault charges
A MAN from Whitchurch has appeared in court over historic allegations of indecently assaulting a teenage girl.
Keith Wright, of Bell Street, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court, accused of five counts of indecent assault against a 15-year-old girl.
The 47-year-old, represented by Alastair McKelvie, stood in the dock wearing a dark blue suit, a green tie, brown shoes and glasses. He spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth, and did not indicate a plea to the charges.
Presiding magistrate Christine Budd said the offences were too serious to be dealt with by magistrates.
Wright, who is on conditional bail, will next appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday, October 23.
