Tributes paid to, Scott Warriner, the man found dead in a Popley park
TRIBUTES have been paid to a young Basingstoke man whose body was found in a Popley park.
Police officers were called to Popley Community Park, in Popley Way, at 11.45am last Saturday, following the discovery of the body of Scott Warriner.
North East Hampshire coroner Andrew Bradley opened an inquest into the death of the 21-year-old on Tuesday. The full inquest has been adjourned until November 26.
Mr Warriner’s death is not being treated as suspicious. The inquest opening heard the cause of death was hanging.
Tributes were paid to the former Queen Mary’s College pupil on Twitter and Facebook following his death.
Zoe Blagbrough tweeted: “RIP Scott Warriner. It was only last week that I saw you last! Your going to be missed so much!”
