JAZZ music entertained an audience in Odiham at the weekend.
Saxophones, pianos, trumpets, trombones and drums accompanied singers on stage at The Rotary Club of Odiham and Hook’s Jazz Weekend, held in the Chalk Pit, in Alton Road.
Around 250 people attended the event on Saturday evening, taking picnics to enjoy while watching the entertainment on stage in the open-air venue.
On Sunday, another 250 people gathered at the Chalk Pit to listen to more jazz and tuck into barbecue food cooked on site.
Phil Stephens, a member of the rotary club who co-ordinated the event, said: “On Saturday evening we had modern jazz with top notch musicians – they are almost the best in the country. On Sunday there was traditional jazz. It’s gone very well. People seem very pleased with it.”
Odiham Scouts helped direct traffic into the car park. It is hoped the event will bring in around £5,000.
