TWO distraction burglars may be operating in the Ripon area.
Police have received reports that two smartly-dressed men visited properties on Oak Road and Kangel Close carrying clipboards and claiming to be from the council.
They were turned away by suspicious householders. People are being urged to check the identification of anyone visiting their homes offering to sell or repair anything.
