CCTV footage has been released by detectives investigating an armed robbery at Wonderland nightclub in Basingstoke, in which an employee was tied up and threatened.
As previously reported by The Gazette, the two robbers, one of whom was carrying a handgun, walked into the club, in Churchill Way, at 1.20pm on Monday and tied up the terrified employee before stealing more than £10,000 in cash.
They threatened the 34-year-old worker in the manager’s office and tied his hands behind his back, using cable wires.
Detectives have now released CCTV footage, which you can watch in the video below, in the hope of tracing a woman who can be seen crossing over Churchill Way towards Wonderland as the men walk into the club.
Detective Constable Richard Chegwidden said: “This woman could have vital information which could assist our investigation. If this is you or you recognise her then please contact police as soon as possible.
“We are also still appealing for anyone who recognises the two men seen entering and exiting Wonderland to come forward.”
Detectives appealed earlier in the week for information about the driver of a red car, who could have been a witness, but this person has now come forward and spoken to officers.
Anyone with any information should contact Basingstoke CID on 101.
