A WASTE transfer site in Aldermaston could be extended if a planning application is approved by West Berkshire Council.
An application has been lodged by Aldermaston Recycling Ltd to extend the Paices Hill site into an adjoining site – a former council refuse tip.
The application also inc-ludes the installation of a waste screening/separating plant, an acoustic enclosure, office buildings, a weigh station, skip storage and car parking.
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council have raised no objection to the application, with a highways officer noting that there “should be limited highway impact on the borough’s road network” if the application is approved.
The extended site, if approved, would be accessed via the existing site access in Paices Hill.
The site has been operational since 1982 and was extended in 2003.
