A THIEF stole a car from the driveway of an Old Basing home.
The burglary took place between 12.45pm and 3.10pm on Thursday, February 7 at a house in Park Lane.
The thief broke into the house by smashing a side window and once inside stole jewellery, a laptop and the keys to a red Volkswagen Scirocco car. The car was then stolen from outside the house.
Officers are appealing for information, particularly anyone who has seen the car, which has the registration number RK09 UXN.
