15-year-old hit by car in Pamber Heath

A FAMILY are in mourning after a Tadley schoolboy was fatally injured in a road accident.

The 15-year-old was in Silchester Road, Pamber Heath, at 2.30am last Friday when he was involved in a collision with a black Ford KA.

The teenager died at the scene following the collision with the car, which was driven by an 18-year-old Tadley woman.

The police, who have not yet revealed the name of the schoolboy, are investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the collision and how he came to be in the road at that time.

The driver was arrested and taken into custody for questioning. She was shaken but uninjured.

Officers are urging anyone who may have seen the collision, or either the pedestrian or car prior to it, to contact Sergeant Nigel Burt, at Whitchurch Roads policing unit, on 101 quoting Operation Triassic.
