First published in News by , Chief Reporter

A £4,558 bathroom suite was stolen from a van in Basingstoke.

The turquoise Citroen van was parked at Basingstoke Business Centre in Winchester Road at 6.06pm on Friday, December 7, but when the owner returned at 6.30pm he found the bathroom gone.

Items included Vado brassware, a Radox radiator and Villeroy and Boch white bathtub, shower tray, washbasin and toilet.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area, particularly anyone who saw a white transit van with a 53 registration, driven by a white man who had a white woman passenger with short dark hair. It was last seen approaching Black Dam roundabout.

PC Gemma Smith said: “This is a rare theft with large goods being transferred and transported. The owner estimates that it would take between 10 and 20 minutes to transfer the bathroom suite from one vehicle to another.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Smith at Basingstoke CID on 101
