LEOPARD print coats and fur-collared jackets were on parade at Festival Place’s fashion event.

Running from Friday to Sunday the free event kicked off with a catwalk show in Porchester Square hosted by fashion blogger Ellie Pierce, who offered hints and tips on the latest trends.

Models showcased clothes from Festival Place shops, while dancing to a choreographed routine.

Celebrity fashion guru Wendy Elsmore held style workshops and teenagers benefited from free hair and beauty consultations in the ‘Beauty Bubble’, where there were props on display which were used in the last Girls Aloud tour, including a giant lipstick, handbag, perfume bottle and mirror.

On Saturday the star of the day was Britain’s Got Talent contestant Lauren Thalia, who sang for shoppers and talked about her own unique style.

The 12-year-old from Hatch Warren, who is a pupil at Testbourne Community School, put together her outfit for the day.

Her advice to other girls was: “Don’t be afraid to clash different things together and wear what you think looks nice, don’t always follow what everyone else is doing.”

Lauren had her hair styled by Tony and Guy in Festival Place in a fish plait.

Ellie said the key trend for hair this autumn is loose curls.

Youngsters from Basingstoke Academy of Dance modelled clothes on the catwalk from Monsoon and Debenhams while dancing to One Direction’s That’s What Makes You Beautiful.
