Woman goes missing from Basingstoke hospital

A POLICE helicopter has been used in the search for a woman who went missing from Basingstoke hospital.

Christine Peers, 50, from Southampton, was last seen at the hospital at 10am today. It is believed she left there and walked through the Houndmills area of Basingstoke.

A police helicopter was deployed and was seen hovering over the Wellington Terrace area of Winklebury.

She is described as 5ft 8ins tall, has straight black hair with a fringe and wore glasses, black leggings, a dark-coloured top and brown knee-high boots.

Officers are said to be very concerned for her welfare.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 immediately.
