HUNDREDS of pounds were raised for a great cause as children’s charity Sebastian’s Action Trust’s held their first-ever autumn gift fayre.

The fayre was held in the grounds of The Bluebells, the trust’s respite holiday house for seriously-ill children and their families, in Popham Lane, North Waltham.

The event, opened by Basingstoke and Deane deputy borough mayor Councillor Dan Putty, helped to raise more than £1,500.

During the afternoon, guests were able to browse around the selection of stalls, selling everything from Christmas cards, cheese, chutneys, candles and jewellery, to crafted wood, clothes, incredible cupcakes, candy trees and spa products. Visitors were also able to take a tour of the holiday home and a selection of children’s games and activities were also on offer for younger guests.

Debbie Loveridge, events and community fundraiser for Sebastian’s Action Trust, said: “We are really pleased with how the fayre went and with the amount raised. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to come along and support us, and Cllr Putty for attending and opening the event.”
