EASTROP Park will come alive with dance, theatre and visual arts with the return of the All in the Mind festival this summer.

Presented by Fluid Motion Theatre Company, the festival aims to awareness around mental health.

Now in its third year, the festival has gone from strength to strength and will, for the first time, take place in the outdoor venue of Eastrop Park, bringing together the community and transforming the area into a buzzing arts festival.

As well as being based around music, dance, spoken word, film, visual arts and theatre, the key theme of mental health is the underpinning focus of the event which will take place on Saturday, 23 June.

Visitors to the event will be able to enjoy a range of free workshops and activities, as well as a selection of stalls and, compelling performances throughout the day to raise awareness of good mental health.

There will also be a selection of different food vendors offering food to suit all tastes.

All in the Mind is suitable for all the family and will run from 11am to 8pm with admission being completely free of charge.

There will also be a free shuttle bus in partnership with Stagecoach running from Basingstoke railway station to Eastrop Park on the day.

The shuttlebus will also operate a free park and ride running from the Old Common car park to the festival.

Fluid Motion, which is organising the event, is a mental health theatre company based in Basingstoke, which creates professional touring work on a range of mental health themes as well as delivering education and community projects that engage with more than 22,000 people a year.

The event is part of this year’s Basingstoke Festival, which has the concept of Art in Unexpected Places.
