A EGGS-cellent haul of donations has been collected at a Basingstoke self-storage facility in aid of a charitable fund.
Access Self Storage Basingstoke collected a record 315 Easter eggs for North Hampshire Medical Fund in its sixth annual Access Self Storage Charity Easter Egg Appeal, more than any number of chocolate eggs collected across the country by participating stores to date.
The bounty of eggs could help countless people after they are raffled off to raise funds for advanced medical equipment for Basingstoke Hospital that is currently outside of NHS budget.
Access Self Storage Basingstoke store manager Mike Blaszkowicz said: “It’s been amazing to see the people of Basingstoke and kind local businesses support our appeal.
"As well as countless individuals, we’d like to particularly thank both Sainsbury’s and Tescos of Festival Place, as well as the Aquadrome and our local Costa Coffee and Starbucks who have all helped by placing collection boxes and posters in their stores."
Molly Hawkins, from the North Hampshire Medical Fund, said “ We’re totally blown away by the incredible number of donations we have received from thoughtful people and businesses, we are so grateful to the kind staff of Access Self Storage who nominated us to receive their Easter egg collection this year.”
