SOUTHERN Health is on the hunt for a new governor for its North Hampshire constituency.
A vacancy has arisen on the Council of Governors, which performs a number of key functions.
One of these is representing the interests of the members and local people in their constituency area.
They are also responsible for holding the non-executive directors individually and collectively to account for the performance of the board, as well appointing and removing the chair and executives.
Helen Keats, who currently sits on the Council of Governors for Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, said: “I became a member and then a governor of Southern Health because I believe the NHS is hugely valuable to all of us and that organisations need the input of ordinary people to help shape local services.
“The recent massive structural changes to the NHS mean it is even more important that the patients voice and lived experience can influence how vital frontline health services are delivered. Being a governor means I can play my part.”
Vacancies will close on February 24.
