THE deadline for applying for a reception year school place for September is this Friday.

Parents have just a few days left to apply for a school place for their child.

Friday is also the closing date for applications for a junior school place.

Hampshire residents can apply for a school place on Hampshire County Council's website, hants.gov.uk, where there is also useful information about the application process and details of Hampshire schools.

Parents will be notified of the outcome of their application by email.
