AMBER Pope studied Access to Higher Education in Health and is now a qualified midwife working at Basingstoke Maternity Unit. She learnt more than just biology at BCoT.

Amber said: “Studying at BCoT gave me the confidence and assertiveness that I never thought I had. I learnt the skill of academic writing which was extremely useful at university, I learnt how to research and I developed the skill of being able to get up in front of a group of people and deliver a presentation. BCoT gave me a great foundation in which I could commence my university degree.

“I would highly recommend BCoT. It’s a fantastic place to study. Taking this course has completely changed my life and I will be forever grateful to all the staff members that believed in me and made it possible.

“I am just one success story to emerge from BCoT - now it’s time for you to be the next one.”

BETH Hewett-Stanley completed the Higher National Certificate (HNC) in construction and is now working as a technician at AECOM UK.

She said: “The staff went above and beyond their job description to ensure we were getting the help and support needed to complete the tasks assigned to us, their helpful and positive attitude towards passing the course provided me with the encouragement I desperately needed. The on-site facilities give access to the latest software and the library has many resources.

“While on this course I had a goal in mind, and this course has become a massive help getting me towards that. I am now working as a technician for a large civil engineering company in Newcastle and studying towards my civil engineering degree.”
