A BRAMLEY nursery is celebrating this week after it was given the top rating by an education watchdog.

Butter Daisy Nursery, which is based in Minchens Lane, Bramley, has been graded as “outstanding” in all areas following an inspection by education watchdog Ofsted on July 14.

In her report, inspector Lynne Lewington said: “The quality of teaching throughout the nursery is exceptional. Children are motivated and enthusiastic to learn because staff make learning fun.

“An interesting range of purposeful and challenging activities engage and motivate them.”

The nursery, which has 46 children aged up to eight years old, received a “requires improvement” grading at its last inspection in July 2014.

Owner Victoria Peterkin told The Gazette: “I am delighted with the result and so proud of my team – they definitely deserved this recognition.

“The nursery manager Kelly Wills has worked tirelessly to ensure her team are premium practitioners who thrive on understanding and support each child’s journey of learning with compassion and care.”
