WHITCHURCH Primary School may be expanded as part of a Hampshire County Council plan to deal with a rise in birth rates.
The council is proposing to increase the capacity of the school, in Daniel Road, to allow 75 places for Year R children by September 2017.
The demand for school places is a result of a rise in the number of births in the area and new housing development.
A consultation to seek views on enlarging the school will run until June 5.
Officers will then review the responses and decide whether to publish the plans.
A drop-in session will be held next Wednesday at the school between 3pm and 6pm, when county council officers will be on hand to answer questions.
A website has also been set up with details of the consultation. Visit consultations.hants.gov.uk/active.aspx.
