STUDENTS and teachers went head to head to be crowned kings and queens of the kitchen.
Fort Hill Community School, in Kenilworth Road, Winklebury, held its own Masterchef event which saw more than 36 teams of staff and pupils don fancy dress to design and cook a three-course meal.
The event was organised by the school’s head of science Rebecca Taylor to raise money ahead of her volunteering trip to South America.
This summer Ms Taylor will spend three weeks in Peru to support youngsters living in a children’s home and to help reduce the number of homeless children.
It comes after she spent nine days during the Christmas break helping poor child ren in orphanages and schools in Morocco.
Winners have not yet been announced for the cookery challenge but it has already raised more than £360.
