SHE might have been fired by Lord Alan Sugar, but The Apprentice runner-up Bianca Miller impressed students at a Basingstoke secondary school when she gave them a talk on employment.

The 25-year-old, who lost out on launching a business selling women’s tights with Lord Sugar, visited The Costello School to meet with Year 10 and 11 pupils.

She gave an interactive talk to 30 pupils in each year group on employability skills, with practical advice on how to present themselves to potential employers.

David Nicholson, headteacher at the school, in Crossborough Hill, said: “She spoke about how to present yourself prior to interview and first appearances. She was talking about and showing them how to hand shake and use their voice.”

The entrepreneur gave examples of what and what not to do when it comes to interviews before answering questions from students, who were keen to hear the inside gossip on BBC One’s The Apprentice.

Mr Nicholson said: “They thought it was really useful. They were impressed by her entrepreneurial nature.”

Bianca also told students that she was in the process of working to launch her range of women’s tights, having not given up on the idea following The Apprentice.
