CHILDREN at Maple Ridge Primary School are set to benefit from a new trampoline at the school following a bank-boosting donation from Sainsbury’s.
The Sainsbury’s Basingstoke depot, which is based in Houndmills Road, Basingstoke, has donated £500 from its community budget to the school’s parent association - Friends of Maple Ridge, to fund the new trampoline.
Diane Fanthon, chair of the Friends of Maple Ridge, said: “The potential benefits of having this trampoline are endless. Children are generally happier and more relaxed after trampolining.
“Studies have shown that as well as the health benefits gained from trampolining, it has produced positive effects on challenging behaviour, increased concentration and aids better control over motor skills and balance.”
