THE splendour of Winchester Cathedral was the venue for the 2014 graduation ceremony as staff and students celebrated success in BCoT’s higher education courses.

More than 50 BCoT graduates from HNC, HND and BA programmes attended the graduation ceremony to celebrate their achievements.

They were joined by lecturers, friends and family to receive their qualifications at a ceremony hosted by The University of Winchester – the institution which validates BCoT’s degree programme.

The ceremony was presided over by Dame Mary Fagan, the Chancellor of The University of Winchester, with BCoT principal Anthony Bravo presenting each BCoT learner with their award.

Several members of BCoT staff were also honoured at the ceremony when they received their qualifications for Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector.

Claire Millward, who completed her BA Textiles for Fashion degree course at BCoT in June, said that the whole occasion was “quite simply wonderful and very moving”.

Mr Bravo said that the annual graduation ceremony is one of his personal highlights of the year, adding: “Winchester Cathedral was the perfect setting to celebrate and recognise the fantastic achievements of our higher education students.

“I know how hard our staff and learners have worked to achieve their success and I felt so proud and honoured to have shared in their special day.”
