A BASINGSTOKE junior school has received a cash boost from a cereal company.
Kellogg’s awarded £400 to South View Junior School to help support its breakfast club. The cash was part of the company’s nationwide Help Give a Child a Breakfast campaign, in which it will donate two million breakfasts to clubs across the country.
Sheila Pape, headteacher at the school, in Shooters Way, said: “I believe it is important to provide an affordable facility to enable pupils to eat breakfast before the start of the day in a pleasant, relaxed environment.
“The grant will truly help our club, and we’ll look forward to spending the money on a selection of the children’s favourite cereals as well as stimulating games for the children to enjoy.”
