WHITCHURCH United honoured one of its long serving players at a landmark game.

Before the Jam Boys' last home game of the season last weekend, chairman Peter Adams made a presentation to Craig Rutledge after he reached the landmark of 100 Wessex League games for the club.

He started his career with Whitchurch with its under-eight youth team and progressed through the age groups, enjoying success with the club in the Testway Youth League.

Rutledge went on to represent the club at under-18 level which was the stepping stone into senior football. Making his first team debut as a second half sub in 2015, he has been a regular first team player since.
