Overton Black Arrows hit the mark
THE Overton Black Arrows took medals in the annual Open Field Archery event, combined with both county and regional championships.
Taking place in a field close to Kingsclere and Watership Down, 74 competitors took part in the archery event including representatives from Overton Black Arrows.
The area put in a great performance with Eric Dunlop, from Whitchurch, taking the Hampshire bronze medal and placing 11th in the national category, shooting compound style.
Elsewhere, club member Richard Buckner, from Oakley, shooting recurve bow, took the Hampshire silver medal and was fifth nationally.
