POLICE are appealing for information after a spate of burglaries in Whitchurch.

Officers have received a number of reports of burglaries in the Whitchurch area where thieves stole items including an Xbox, a bike and several handbags.

The first incident happened between 7.30pm on November 22 and 5pm November 23, when the front door of a property in Evingar Road was forced open. A messy search of the house was conducted but nothing was reported to be stolen. Again on November 23 between 8:15am and 2:30pm, thieves gained entry to a property in Fairfield via the front door. They then proceeded to make an untidy search of the property. Items including an Xbox and games, camera and jewellery were all stolen. On the same day between 7:55am and 3pm, a pedal bike, several handbags, passports and credit cards were all stolen from a property in Bicester Close.
