A CLASSIC car ‘memory lane’ has gone down a treat with care home residents.
On Saturday, August 12 the Rowan Lodge Nursing Home, off of Crown Lane, in Hook, transformed its car park into a place to view and admire many classic cars, including a 1960s tractor.
Residents enjoyed the array of quality cars on display with their family and friends also coming along for the day.
The Boozinstoke Rockin’ Fraternity also donated their time to perform a variety of dances from the 1960s era to create the atmosphere.
Terri Philpotts, activities co-ordinator at the care home, said: "The day was a great success and was enjoyed by many and was accompanied by lovely weather and a great atmosphere."
The event goers also dined on burgers and hotdogs in baskets and diner-style milkshakes as they strolled through the car park.
