THE clean-up of a vandalised skatepark in Hook is expected to cost a parish council £1,000.

The skatepark in Harletts Park was daubed with graffiti by vandals on the night of Monday, 4 August, who spray painted the metal ramps used by skateboarders.

Hook Parish council said: “Our independent play area inspector has advised that the ramps are not safe in their current condition and must be closed until they can be repaired, the council will undertake the repainting as quickly as practicable.”

Anyone with information about who daubed the graffiti is being asked to contact the parish council on 01256 768573 or info@hook.gov.uk.
