A WOMAN in her seventies in Hartley Wintney had to be rescued by firefighters after getting up to her knees in water.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue received reports of a 72-year-old woman who was up to her knees in water. They attended the incident at 2:20pm earlier on today (10 September) in Springwell Lane, Hartley Wintney.
Crews from Basingstoke, Hartley Wintney, and Fareham’s water rescue unit used one short extension ladder and one line to rescue the woman from around 18 inches of slow moving river water.
Afterwards, the woman was treated by South Central Ambulance Service.
