A BASINGSTOKE-based audit, tax and consulting firm has raised £1,450 for charity.

RSM, based in Basing View, raised the money for Challengers, which operates schemes to help children and young people in the town.

The money has been raised through various activities over the last year including monthly dress-down days, bake sales, themed lunches and even a table tennis tournament.

Challengers provides play and leisure schemes for disabled children and young people.

Suzanne Williams, from RSM, said: “It’s been a pleasure raising funds for this worthwhile charity throughout the past twelve months and seeing first-hand the benefits of this play-scheme.

"To see the children interacting and handling reptiles on a recent visit was amazing. Thank you for letting us be involved.

Pippa Barker, corporate fundraising officer at Challengers, said: "Over the past year, we have really enjoyed working in partnership with RSM in Basingstoke and we were thrilled that they raised an amazing total of £1,450.

"They have been really engaged by carrying out lots of various fundraising activities, as well as visiting the children on scheme which was a lovely experience for all of us."
