A MAN was taken to the hospital with serious injuries following a collision on the A30.

Emergency services were called to the incident at 8.37am at the junction of the A33 and A 30 north bound, following a collision between a car and a van.

The driver of the car, a man in his mid-60s, was taken to Basingstoke hospital with serious injuries after being cut from his vehicle by the Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Part of the road was blocked while emergency services dealt with the situation, the road is now clear.
