A MEMORIAL walk organised by a charity raising awareness for people who have been killed as a result of domestic violence took place last week.
On December 1, for White Ribbon Day, around 15 people from the refuge in White Hart Lane, Basingstoke walked to War Memorial Park in memory of the people who have been killed as a result of domestic violence.
The walk, organised by the YOU Trust, took place during a period of 16 days of domestic violence awareness raising.
Jayne Hardy, the Hampshire Integrated DV and abuse service manager, said: “We held the walk to remember those who have been killed and celebrate those who are coming out of it now. We want to raise more awareness of the issue and to let people know that support is available.”
