A NEW bakery and continental cake shop will be opening its doors in Basingstoke later this month.

Patisserie Valerie, which has 150 stores throughout the UK, will open on November 21 in Kensington House in Festival Place.

The new store has created around 20 new jobs, and is the next step in the brand’s expansion plan to open 20 new stores each year.

The new store will serve customers a full menu of hot food including continental breakfast and grilled lunchtime snacks alongside its renowned gateau slices and patisseries.

The new Basingstoke café will also be a site to order and collect celebration and wedding cakes.

Paul May, CEO of Patisserie Holdings PLC said: “We’re very excited to open our first store in Basingstoke, and to continue to further expand our brand within the South East of England. Being located within Basingstoke’s bustling Festival Place Shopping Centre, our new store presents a brilliant opportunity to reach both loyal Patisserie Valerie fans and new customers.”
