POLICE have launched a suspicions incident probe after men were seen knocking on doors in a village road, trying to offer gardening services.

The duo were seen in Greenlands Road, Kingsclere, on Wednesday, August 10, between 11am and noon knocking on the doors of homes in the road, trying to sell gardening services.

Police are treating this as suspicious.

One of the men is described as white, aged in his 40s and of a stocky build.

Police say the other man is described as white, aged between 12 and 24-years-old, with short brown hair. He was wearing yellow high visibility trousers and a T-shirt.

Since June 14, police have revealed three instances of suspected door-knocking cons in Greenlands Road. These all involved a man knocking on the door of an elderly resident claiming to be from a gas company or that the resident needs their roof cleaned or repaired and that money is owed.

These incidents happened on June 14, July 14 and July 18.
