A TADLEY man who used a car 'as a weapon' has been jailed for 12 years.
Jesse Gregory, of Moat Close, Tadley, was sentenced to a dozen years behind bars when he appeared at Reading Crown Court on Thursday, July 13, after pleading guilty to causing grievous bodily harm.
The 26-year-old, who entered a plea on the same day at the same court, drove a Toyota Rav 4 car at a 52-year-old man in Paices Hill, Aldermaston, on February 21, 2016.
The incident happened during a disturbance in the road at around 6.50am.
The 52-year-old man sustained a broken leg when he was hit by the car Gregory drove at him.
Investigating officer detective constable Gareth Perry said: “This was a very serious incident where Gregory used a vehicle as a weapon against the victim.
"The victim subsequently required corrective surgery to his leg following the injury.
"I am pleased for the victim that justice has been done.”
Gregory was given a custodial term of 12 years plus an extension of four years on licence.
