FIREFIGHTERS were called to a small kitchen fire in a block of flats in Basingstoke town centre last night.
Crews from Basingstoke, Tadley, Odiham and Kingsclere were called to the incident at the Skyline Plaza, in Alencon Link at 8.23pm on April 26.
On arrival the flames had already been dealt with and firefighters assisting the occupier made sure the fire had safely been extinguished.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said that incidents such as this are a reminder of the importance of residents knowing their buildings evacuation procedure, whether to stay put or evacuate.
