A PRIMARY school has welcomed in a new head teacher to help achieve the school’s high expectations.

Sarah Peters has joined Tadley Community Primary School, in The Green, with immediate effect.

Mrs Peters arrives with more than 12 years’ experience working as the head of a school.

She previously spent six years at Whitchurch Primary School and prior to that Hazel Wood Infants in Totton for a further six years.

Having been in the role already for six weeks, Mrs Peters has already started to implement her vision for the school, which in its last Ofsted inspection was rated as “good” overall.

She said: “It is a privilege to be the new head teacher at Tadley Primary.

“We have a talented team of staff and enthusiastic, friendly children who are keen to learn.

“I have received a warm welcome from the community and look forward to us all working together to ensure Tadley provides the best education possible for each and every one of its pupils. I am very excited about the future of our school.”

The governors at the primary school have already seen the impact Mrs Peters has made on the community and believe she is the perfect fit for the school.

Chair of governors at Tadley Community Jan Draper added: “Mrs Peters comes with a wealth of experience of managing a large primary school and has an excellent track record of school improvement.

“She has been with us for only five weeks but has already established herself with our whole community as someone with the highest expectations, but equally importantly, as someone who listens, cares and acts.”
