A BURST water pipe has forced a school to close.

Pupils at Testbourne Community School were unable to attend the Micheldever Road school due to there being no water supply after a burst water pipe.

In a notice published on the school’s website, headteacher Ruth Beasley said: “I have to inform you that because of a major problem with a burst pipe in the main boiler house I have to close the school for at least 24 hours.

“This is because there is no water supply and therefore no toilet facilities.

“I can only apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”

Repairs are currently being carried out and it is hoped the school will be open as normal tomorrow (Friday March 17).
