A MANAGEMENT consultancy firm in Bramley has helped raise more than £20,000 for Cancer Research UK.

Over the past 12 months staff and clients at Managementors, in Minchens Lane have been taking part in a range of different fundraising activities to help the cancer charity.

Some of the biggest fundraising activities included a whole-company sponsored walk, which covered 34 miles from Goring to Oxford along the Thames path, where a total of £3,732 was raised and a clay pigeon shoot with lunch and ac harity auction for clients raising a further £4,345.

One of the most exciting events was an ‘apprentice’-style challenge, where employees were split into two teams and each given £100 to turn into as much money as possible.

The healthy competition saw the two teams adopting some innovative ideas, from nail painting through to apple pressing.

The challenge was a great success and raised more than £1,600.

Managing director at Managementors, Ken Leech said: “It was an ambitious target but ‘making things happen’ is core to what we do as a business.

“As well as raising money for this tremendous cause, the immense benefits we gained from working together during the various activities are immeasurable but will be a lasting legacy for the future.”

Rising to the challenge of raising £20,000 for Cancer Research UK was part of the business’ celebrations to commemorate 20 years in business. Alongside this, the company also carried out over 150 hours of local community work.
