RESIDENTS are being warned that suspicious persons have been knocking on doors claiming to be from Hampshire Police.
Police are investigating the reports of people pretending to be officers, after residents in Hartley Wintney reported a number of incidents in the area.
Police have advised that should anyone come to your door stating they are from Hampshire Constabulary, you should ask to see their photo identity card, which should always be shown to the property owner before they enter.
Residents are told they are under no obligation to let anyone into their home that they do not wish to be there.
If anyone experiences anything similar, call 101 or 999 if it is an emergency.
