FAMILY and friends of the man wh o fell from a Basingstoke bridge last Wednesday are raising funds to help with his recovery.
Steven North, believed to be in his mid-30s, was flown to Southampton General Hospital by air ambulance following a collision in Worting Road.
Mr North was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a collision between a red Vauxhall Astra and a silver Vauxhall Vectra led to one of the vehicles colliding with Mr North, who fell from the bridge onto the southbound carriageway of the A340 Ringway West where he was hit by another vehicle.
It is believed that Mr North is now in a stable condition, and friends and family have been raising money to help with his care.
A JustGiving page was set up to support Mr North and his family and within a few hours had raised more than £700.
The initial target was £1,000 however, the current total stands at £1,765.

Police are still appealing for anyone wh o has any information regarding the incident to contact the them on 101 quoting Operation Supercell.
