A CHILDREN’S holiday and after school club has been rated as ‘outstanding’ following an Ofsted inspection.

KOOSA Kids Holiday and After School Club at Tadley Primary School, was inspected by the education watchdog on August 9.

The report said: “Children enjoy a great deal of choice. Staff help children to think in advance about how they will accomplish new challenges.

“For example, they talk through sequences of events and skilfully help children to plan, follow instructions, predict and speculate what will happen because of their actions.”

The club, which runs out of the school in The Green, was rated as ‘outstanding’ in all areas.

Following an intensive review of the club’s processes and procedures and interviews with staff, children and parents, the quality of the team was clearly recognised by inspector Helen Robinshaw.

The report said: “Staff are highly successful in encouraging and supporting children to develop new skills.

“They sensitively adapt the activities to meet children’s individual needs. “Personal development, behaviour and welfare are outstanding.

“Children’s behaviour is exemplary for their ages. Staff are excellent role models. They encourage respect for one another and value every child’s contributions and their efforts.”

Children were praised for showing that they considered their own safety and that of their friends.

Chair of governors at Tadley Primary School, Jan Draper said: “When we first selected KOOSA Kids as our ‘out of hours’ provider, we were confident in our selection.

“This latest Ofsted report confirms we made the right choice. We are very pleased to be able to offer ‘outstanding’ holiday and after school childcare’ in partnership with Koosa Kids.”

This award is one of three ‘outstanding’ grades that KOOSA Kids has received across its clubs over the summer.

KOOSA Kids operations director Phil Wade added: “We are delighted and very proud to receive another Ofsted ‘outstanding’ grade.

“The team at Tadley Primary work exceptionally hard so it is both pleasing and reassuring for parents to know the club is providing exceptional levels of care and support to the children attending.”
