BASINGSTOKE residents may benefit from random acts of kindness this week as florists from a Basingstoke supermarket leave colourful summer posies in locations across the town.

Following a spell of changeable weather, florists in Morrisons, Basingstoke, are hoping that the bouquets will help brighten up the week for the lucky residents who discover them and take them home.

They are being placed in parks, bus stops and shopping areas for passers by to pick up, and are made from multi-coloured Germini, which look like big, brightly coloured summer daisies.

Simon Nellis, Morrisons Basingstoke store manager, said: "Our florists know how changeable the weather has been this summer and wanted to cheer everyone up. We hope that people who find these brightly coloured posies across Basingstoke will pick them up, take them home, enjoy having their little splash of warming colour in their house."

Have you found one of the posies? Send us a picture of yourself with the flowers on Twitter at @BasGazette or Facebook Basingstoke Gazette.
