POKEMON Go fever is engulfing the world and the new hit game has taken Basingstoke by storm.

In celebrating this craze which has encouraged millions of Brits to take to the streets armed with their phones, The Gazette has published a series of the best pictures sent in by you.

The new Pokemon Go game was launched in the UK on Wednesday and since then children, teenagers and adults have been pacing the streets of Basingstoke in a bid to track down all 250 Pokemon.

Users 'catch' the digital creatures and train them in battle, following the style of the hit 1990s videogames and TV show.

The Pokemon have been placed at coordinates around Basingstoke and other towns, with players using a smartphone app to track them down.

Above you can see how much fun this game actually is.
