A GROWING family business has celebrated its two year anniversary in style.

As a thank you to all their drivers, Alpha Cars hired two branded Lamborghini’s for the drivers to pose with as they heard from the five brothers who run the company what the next phase of expansion will be.

The company, based in Joices Yard, Basingstoke, has seen a huge growth in a short period of time, with more than 120 drivers now on their books.

One of the company’s co-owners, Imran Akram said the birthday celebration was a great opportunity for them to show how much they value the hard work of their drivers do to help promote the brand.

He said: “It is the drivers who are flying the flag for our company, so it is nice to show our appreciation to them.

“One of our drivers even had a cake made with the Alpha Cars logo, which was really touching.

“As a family we have put a lot of money and hard work into making this the best brand we can, so to give something back to our drivers is a sign of our appreciation.”

Mr Akram said that the current rate the business has grown has been an absolute shock, but one that is welcome.

However, he understands that to be successful in business you need to stay ahead of the game, and he and his brothers are already planning for the next phase of the company.

Alpha Cars plan to introduce a new automated booking service as well as an app which will help customers track their taxi.

“Everything is about advancing technology and people using their mobile phones,” added Mr Akram.

“With the emergence of company’s like Uber we don’t just need to be up to date with technology we need to be ahead of the pack.

“That is why we are hoping the automated service will be tailored to each customer, so if they do want to talk to an operator they can, or if they just want to quickly book a taxi they can.”
