Police close part of major Basingstoke road
POLICE had to close part of a major Basingstoke road this morning after a van collided with a road side barrier.
Officers were called to the incident on the A339 between the Roman Road Roundabout and Ringway North at 10.50am, after a red Peaugot Partner van veered off the road and into the steel barrier.
One lane of the road was coned off whilst a recovery vehicle removed the wreckage.
The scene was completely cleared by 11.20am and the road reopened.
No one was injured in the crash.
